The most common cars we have at owrk for problems are Mitsi's, Subaru's and Nissan's to name the most common closley followed by mazda. At least the subies are easy to fix tho (must have engineered them that way cos they knew what would happen)

If I recall correctly wasn't there a big scandal with Mitsubishi knowingly producing faulty VR4 chips and not doing anything about it? Then they had a major lawsuit or something and lost millions... Also I was told the earlier ones used the windscreen to give the frame structural rigidy, i.e if the windscreen goes so does the roof, but I have a suspicion that's a common fact to all early cars...

Thats common place for most cars, thats why you can fail a warrent for a cracked windscreen

^^^ Yeah I agree. As said before, I know Mitsubishi have their flaws, a few serious ones too - doesn't mean all their stuff is crap. Look at the Lancer Evo series and how well that did in the WRC (ignoring the latest POS they entered).

rally cars get a lot of service and many many new parts every few hundred kays.
