Yes, I am rather interested in what the diagnosis will be also....

As nothing seems to make sense.

Kinda along the similar lines,

I had a GTiR pulsar rallycar that I sold with run Bearings.(because I was sick of fixing it)

They found the crank was warped and ordered a brand new one from Japan ($1200!).

When they fitted the crank to the block they then found the block was bent too!!

Although they are an ally block so may be more prone to bending?

Yea, I mean, Lynn Rogers is a reputable name in the business (Just like another Rogers we know! (No I don't want anything! (Yet))) and I would think he'd pick up on something like that.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Yeah, surely the crank would have shown itself as 'bent' during balancing, if it was.

I dont know.

I dropped the block off to Lynns this morning, and he said he will hopefully check it out tomorrow some time.

Will let y'all know when I hear back. 8)

If you have a feeler gague you could check yourself for bearing crush.
1. Fit caps and bearings and torque up
2. Loosen one bolt on each cap.
3. measure the gap with feeler gague.

Should be between .08mm & .13mm (industry standard)

Well the block/crank/bearings is at Lynns workshop now, so its out of my hands.

Hopefully it wont be anything major. 8)

Well Mr Markham has got some explaining to do. :P

It turns out that I had the wrong caps, and they were sitting on his other engine at the workshop.
So they've been switched over, and everything appears to be fine so far. 8)
