sa60 struts

Postby Blackster » Fri Feb 03, 2006 1:07 pm

i have a sa60 celica 1.8ltr

and have some struts from a 2.8ltr celica
same shape but dont know what model

my question is will the brake setup fit on the 2.8ltr struts
from my 1.8ltr model
ie will the brake rotor, pads and calipers fit

thanks

sounds like you've got an ma60 and sa60.
check the spacing on the two bolts on the bottom of the strut, should be 89mm on both and so you can just swap whole strut.

thats spacing is the same

but the ma60 struts dont have brakes
so i wanted to use the brakes from my sa60 onto it

at the moment its just shock spring and a rusty brake rotor
no pads or calipers

thanks

should be ok, just check the calliper mount...
off memory, aa60 struts have the calliper bolt to the strut, and aa63 struts have the calliper bolt to the backing plate.

heck, it doesn't take long to assemble/dissasemble both :)
