I got a pod filter installed on my SS2 last year. How long or how many ks can it last for?

It will depend a lot on the conditions. The fliter will clog up a lot quicker in dusty conditions compared to tarseal driving for example.
Anyway, why would you want to change it? Why not get it cleaned?

Maybe he has a filter that can't be washed?
If that's the case just go and buy a nice new K&N filter they last forever as you can wash them when they are dirty...

If your filter is an oiled, cleanable type, then you could use K & N Filter cleaner. You can get it from repco, supercheap etc.

It looks like this:

http://www.edbydesign.com/books/B000AK9II0.html

There are 2 bottles, one is a cleaner - you squeeze on with water and clean the filter. Once it has dried you use the other spray bottle to re-oil the filter.

The kit has enough for 2-3 cleans
