Original topic.

Anyone here keen? It wouldn't, of course, be until mid year i wouldn't think (hopefully i've fixed my car up by then) but it could be a good day out.

Yay or nay? :)

Yeah but what happened with the last planned trip to Levels? I wont be entering. I'll wait till the Uno is turboed (next year) before racing off any sort lol. May come for a nose but no at this stage.

Mr Mustang, or is that Mungbean, how about you advise your intentions with the guys on Toyspeed who organise these types of events, before creating speculative threads regarding them. unless you want to organise a challenge within one of our 'open' days, then forget it.

PM me or Matt for info,

To quote nik from SDU,

Minimum requirements for getting your car on the track are
- 0.9kg fire extinguisher within reach of driver
- 100% cotton full length overalls
- Helmet
- Road worthy/safe car with no oil leaks and bettery positive terminal covered. Basically if your car gets a warrant it'll be sweet.

And you seem to have forgotten,

Minimum requirements for track hire,

12 months booking in advance.

I am currently trying to find a slot to book a drift event in march 2007.

Not meaning to shoot the messenger,

Levels is one of the hardest tracks to get track time at
due to resource consents.

Did you know ( not picking on you but commenting in general) the consent is so tight that the track is only allowed to be used for 5 Sunday's a year in total!!
International, Trucks, Classic meeting, and a two day motorcycle event leave's 1 sunday per year for general club use.
Saturday's are all restricted too.

Matt

That sux the baddest!
AND COUNCILS WONDER WHY THEY GET ILLEGAL STREET RACIN!
the idiots have no idea. The only way 2 make money from the track and keep street racin off the street is to loosen acess to the track!
Please Matt harass your local council or the police even! They might be interested if they can forsee positive results! Imagine a police sponsored event! It would be great for the police public relations idiots and people might actually get to learn how to drive better!

My god im a genius!

mate, if only it was that easy.

the funniest thing is the fact the events we do hold for the street cars are usually under-subscribed. most boy-racers don't want it to be known that they can only drive in a straight line, and are allergic to corners at pace

usually when Prodrive comes to town, it is all-but cancelled due to low driver numbers :(

i'm pretty keen to get clubsport racing started for street cars, but most of the potential entrants would claim they havn't got the $100 (ish) to become a member and get a licence, and can afford to spend countless hours driving around in circles and eating BK :?

toyspeed members on the track.....pfftt, don't make me laugh. for sure, there has been a couple , but not many. maybe Southern skylines should enter the next track day en masse, and then taunt Toyspeeders until they do the same.
