Rear abs lines, Coilover install AE111 (d2)

Postby astrae » Sun Feb 12, 2006 1:15 pm

Has anyone got any photos (or can take a photo) of what they have done to the rear abs lines on a AE111 Levin/Truneo when putting in coilovers?

The factory bracket attached to the line is very long and theres no way I can use it. It uses two clips that clip onto the rear of the factory strut.

What I'm thinking of doing is, cutting off one of the clips, feed some the the line back into the chassis, make a bracket that I can bolt on and use the remaining clip on the abs line. (make sense?)

certing on thu so need to get it sorted.

THanks for your help

got it sorted using the bracket supplied from d2. was pretty simple actually.

whats so shit about them? i can't justify spending over $2k when something cheaper is fine.

both the certifier and an engineer that helped me with my brackets said DO NOT try and weld onto the coilover. Its 6061 aluminum and its very easy to damage if it gets too hot.
