it's pretty easy, when you've got the old gearbox out put it next to the new one and have a look at them side by side to see if there's anything different that needs to be swapped from one to the other.
make sure you keep track of where everything goes, try not to lose any bolts etc. Having a friend to help will be useful because if you haven't done one before, two heads are always better than one (unless your mate is retarded), and lining up the gearbox with the clutch can be tricky and if you're not experienced you might need someone to help support the weight of the box.
