blacktop cams in a silvertop

Postby gazza_jay » Thu Feb 16, 2006 10:20 pm

If some1 can help me with this im a lil stuck.. So I read somewhere that b/t has a bigger cam lift than s/t, having a bigger lift in the cam does that mean it will breath a lil better under high revs, that meaning more fuel and air mixture 2 enter the chamber and 2 scavenge the rest of the exhaust gasses out... so is putting b/t cams in a silvertop a good idea 4 a cheap modification.. what is the factory cam duration and lift for silvertop and blacktop.. and has any1 done it and noticed any change... or is it not worth the effort. or what cam setup would be ideal 4 a s/t for better acceleration without having 2 modify the head.. I dont worry about losing the vvt I think it would make the engine sound better 8) anyhelp would be cool

Cant say its worth 2 cents as neither have VVT-i, Let alone VVTL-i. They both simply have VVT.
