Caldina Beeping

Postby Rollin007 » Fri Feb 17, 2006 11:55 am

Hey peeps

Am now the proud owner of a 1998 GTT Caldina and i must say that im very impressed with how it goes. No prblems with passing on the open road.

Just a quick question for anyone that might have done it. The beeping that sounds when you leave the keys in or the lights on is hellishly annoying. Has anyone found a simple solution to get rid of it? I heard that its in the Engine Control Module or something. My mate chopped one out of an Altezza one day and the airbag light came on so if theres an easier way then some guidance would be great.

Cheers
If its got tits, tyres or an aerial its gonna cost ya!!!!

I don't know if it is the same in Caldina, but there should be a 2 pin plug going to ignition barrel, disconnect that and you will get rid of the beeping.

I own a curren, so i cant suggest where it would be on the caldina. But when i was modifying my rear speaker mounts (Had the interior panels off) there was a switch just behind the front door, about 40 cm underneath the bit where the seatbelt comes out of. Two plugs that clip together. Thats how i got rid of mine and havnt had a problem with anything since i unplugged it.
