Stolen MR2!

Postby Dell'Orto » Fri Feb 17, 2006 11:30 pm

Hey guys,

New owner of my MR2 txt'd me this afternoon to let me know the car was stolen from his place in North Brighton, Christchurch on Wednesday 15/2...4 days after buying it :?
Apparently was last seen headed north, so if anyone sees anything, please let me know...as its still got my bloody plates on it!

Its not particularly good at being lowkey, so if its around someone ought to see it

Though I think he bought new mags for it too. Was last wearing ZROGRP message plates - I want those back dammit!

Cheers

And message plates are over $100 to get remade too, not $25ish like plain personalised plates.

Good grief, so much for car theft getting better the further South you head :(

That's sad, especially since he'd only had it a few days.

In the process of having mine redone too cause someone stole them. And yes they are message plates - message above & blelow the normal plate.

Mate if you can, that would be huge!

Yeah, apparently he was insured, so not a total loss, but definately a PITA none the less.

Mine had been stolen twice before I bought it! Someone carved "this car sucks" into the door sill too

Also, car thieves should die. Do you suppose if we started a petition we could get the death penalty installed as punishment for car thieves?

How about a TV program were photos of car thieves are given to contestants?? And then they need top hunt them down?

Get viewers to send in best ideas to use as weapons, and then issue those to the contestants as standard issue the next week.

Holy hell..... How DUMB can theives get?!!? I mean, that car does NOT blend into the crowd.

I sure hope it gets recovered in perfect order!!

Things in chch are ridiculous lately. There's been a huge amount of cars stolen in the past couple weeks - 3 GTR's in one week was a great example.

Nutty part - the majority of these cars are being recovered in one piece. The GTR's went in a hurry, but there's been 3 evos and a brand new STi, along with a very unique turbo primera (just off the top of my head) all stolen and then recovered in almost complete condition in recent times. I think some people are just extra stupid - they pinch the car, and are then left with "what do I do with it now??" and it sits in a garage etc for just long enough for someone to mention it to the wrong (or RIGHT) person.

I'll keep an eye out, never know what shows up. Anything parts wise unique to it?
