Relocating Battery to Boot..

Postby Zyros » Sun Feb 19, 2006 6:54 pm

Hey, well my car is still broken.. but i had it at home this weekend so i decided to do the air intake as i had the pipe etc, so i got the podfilter in.. and had to make a custom pipe from under the car to the pod as the old intake one which went to the intake box was to long and the pipe gave the podfilter more length...

After finishing it, i can see why people say to make up a cold air box, so first i need to relocated the battery to the boot..

Any suggestions on re-locating the battery, what wire.. how to connect it up..

Looking foward to answers aswell. Do you just get rid of the positive terminal lug and put on a big welding cable sized crimp lug and heat shrink over top, and then fasten it undercar or through firewall into boot?

Not related to Toyota, but the same principals should still apply - here is a guide I did a few years back - http://www.220gti.co.nz/boot%20mounted%20battery.htm
