aw11 4agze cambelt idler pulley bolt

Postby Psycho_Dad » Sun Feb 19, 2006 9:53 pm

i have been attempting to replace the head gasket on my 4agze(on my aw11) for the last few days. i have a question

ok the nut on the idler pulley of the cambelt, that has the timing pin for the crank pulley on it... i cant undo the nut because it isnt a normal nut.... its sum 10 pin thing cog looking thing, i have to go pick up a tool for it? whats it called?

i buggered the nut trying to remove it with grips, im worried now that i cant replace the nut with a normal 11mm nut or somthing because the pin may be welded to it? is this the case? or if i remove the nut will the pin will be seperate--- hoping so!

also the head bolts, they also are the 10 cog head thing, is this oem?

i know retarded questions, hope someone understands and replies

cheers

the head bolts need a special tool ..its like a torx bit but its not :D
and the tensioner is just a double star socket

and where pretel can i find this bit?

as for the idler? is that pin and the "double star socket" made as a single piece or can i just remove the nut(somehow) and replace it with somthing more user friendly whilst still having the pin(since i am a hic, trailer trash backyard mechanic)?

thanks heaps! wanna have this head off by tomorrow
