Anyway, Come to my place tomorrow Corey, the dude doesn't live very far away. We'll go down and aks for the plates back.
If it all goes pearshaped and the guy wont give us the plates we'll have to just take them I quess.

Would prefer a couple more people though.. I am pretty small, no matter how flash my kicks are, and although brick is teh champ, backup is always good.

What time are you looking at going could be able to lend my weight depending on time. It might not be the best idea to take the whole possie round might cause more problems than it fixs tho.

drove past this morning and the car was there but was gone when Scotty and I went back (twice). House was wide open but no-one came to the door when we knocked.

Sorry Brad.

Will have another try tomorrow, I might just go talk to him by myself (if he's there).

Cheers Toby,

Havent managed to get hold of the guy so far, will try again later on.
What a bloody idiot though - it makes me distrust the guy even more. Why tell me the car has been stolen??

Yeah, he's obviously a wanker. (Australian.. figures)

If he can't get this shit sorted then I don't know :?

His woman doesn't even know what lies he's told  Seemed quite upset when I suggested to Brick that we just take them.

If need be I'll take the form he needs around next weekend with whatever $$ he needs to complete the change, then take the plates.

Thanks to Scotty and Brick for coming around.

well take a friggen screwdriver with you and steal the bloody things back. the guy is obviously a moron and probably wouldn't notice the plates missing until he is pulled up!

I talked to a local cop last night, he advised against just grabbing the plates - If they call the cops we would be the ones in the shit, but said he would send an email to their legal team and find out if it really is a "civil" matter.

I'm working nights, if it isn't sorted by this weekend we'll just go get them if nobody else has.

It's not entire;y my place to go and do that by myself, just giving people the heads up as to the fact it's still going round. But Joe you're right, just people take the plates off.

Well....even more fun. The aussie shithead has sold the car to Indy Cars, including the plates.
Feel free to go take it for a test drive, and make sure you drop the clutch often so as to shatter the gearbox (reverse gear is $&#$%, so reverse burnouts could be in order  )

Take him to the disputes tribunal then and recover the cost/value of the plates. If it was stated in the Trademe listing that sale did not include the plates then you have a very good case, plus he'd have to come up to Palmy to defend it ;)
