The purdy GT-Four Caldina at the meet last night was nice... I would stop and look at it at the show :)

Put it this way, you have a stack of jappa toyotas that you see every day on the street. And you have a display of say, mustangs for example. Which are you going to look at?

myself, the Jappas... I'm not into tanks.

actually, I'd probably look at both, but I'd be more inclined to be interested in the Jappas than the yanky cars, more inclined to ask questions about the Jap ones.

Yanky cars seem to be pretty much, "engine size is how big?" so thats why it goes so quick, jap ones interest me because I'm a geek, tech is where it's at for me.

If i saw a buncha Toyota's all lined up i'd look at them. Or Honda's or anything else.

You're really making a big deal over nothing about this. If i was worried people would just walk past the Skylines then i wouldn't have bothered organising the display for the club. :?

As the organiser told me (almost his exact words): "The crowd reation to the 'boy racer' cars last year was very good".

Something like that anyway, but basically he meant the more cars on display the better. 8)

As long as they aren't british then they'll be worth a look  (You know I'm kidding Alex)

I'd walk past Skylines. Sick of seeing them and they're a fairly boring looking car I reckon. Fun to drive (if its only the right wheels) but boring styling.

Mmmm.... Mustangs. Jappas are arse comared to old American stuff

But by 'we' you don't mean everyone. cozmoid has shown interest in getting a display up. You're not speaking on behalf of the whole club in unison.
Personally i don't really care if ya's do or not, i'm just trying to help the organiser.

You won't be the only one who walks right past the Skylines either HRT, undoubtedly lots of others will too. But i'm not at all worried about that. :)

Anywho, this is how it went. The organiser (as mentioned in that topic) was really happy with the turnout of the Datsun club (about 32 cars) and the Skyline club (about 16 cars) but was disappointed that none of the other car clubs were as committed as us. I think the next highest amount of cars would have been the Triumph club with about ten or so. :|

you mean the starlet.........

only 2 civics were the old school yellow 4wd sedan the had takin out the front bits and made rear, and the black EK that hauled ass.

Anybody know what the starlet had in it??? I couldnt work it out, At some points it sounds 4ageish, but not in acceration, Ive also heard it was a K20 from an S2000 which would make sense why it revved so high

The pic is bad, but the car looks like one I saw getting a bit of work done on it a few weeks back... silvertop with blacktop ECU(thats what they told me).

it didn't have a number at the time though, so may be an entirely different car, no idea unless you can name the driver.

Surely was an S2000 engine, very tidy looking engine bay. Was the fastest lap of the day wasn't it?
