6.5" if I can remember right,
you can get some PBX Evo's from parallel imported for $150 but I'm sure for 200 you can find a lot better than that

6.5" is the normal size..... but you can put 6x9's in the front doors if you know what you are doing.

6x9's should be banned.

So I'm guessing you have actually heard the sound from my setup in my car?

....guess not, as it has been professionally tuned and tested, and has come up with great results so far. So unless you are a professional car audio installer... keep your narrow minded comments to yourself.

That is all. Thank-you.

Narrow minded huh? Having owned a set my self i know exactly what 6x9 sound like. And what they lack..and give wayyyy to much of. Car audio is definatly not something im narrow minded about. Kinda perfer my current rainbow components my self.

Maybe you would change your tune if you herd a decent set up :)

Edit: If they are 6x9 components its slightly diffrent, if they are co-axels then BAH.

LOL, click. :P

They aren't co-axials... but I liked the way that you just jumped to the conclusion that they were. I had this conversation with Blackrazor awhile back. He did the same thing as you... then went 'oops, maybe it does sound good'.

And my hearings fine thank you. I was in the car audio scene for about 6 years, but I just lost interest in it a couple of years ago. But I still know what sounds good.

I just really like the look on peoples faces when I tell them I have 6x9's in the front doors... and the surprise they get when they hear them.

i asked the same question about a week ago but on the audio part of the forum, got no reply :(
oh well
I just got a pair of DLS B6s installed in my car from Pauls Car Audio here in CHCH, and even with the headunit using a flat EQ (for the speakers to be run in) they sound sweet, cant wait for weeks time when they are run in and ready to bounce.
I would recommend them, $285 a little steep if your trying to keep to $200, but I was in your position a week ago, and I would pay the extra 85 again and again and again and again

well he is an audio pimp.. he might be around later.. or alternatively give him a PM, email or contact the rest of the boys at Pauls Audio..

alternatively depending on where you live, BASS in auckland sell DLS and SLAP in wellington sell DLS :)

Well if you ask me ... save your money and buy Focal speakers, trust me you wont regret buying them.... but you become addicted to hating most other brands, and you will always dream of utopias!!!!!!! With the system Im building, well ask BLackRazor what stage 2 is going to cost me.. Butler amps K2 6.5s and sound deadening! lol but yeah buy some focal acess comps!

i just said a good audio place in auckland - BASS - Botany Auto Sound and Security.. just down from PI in botany on east tamaki drive.. and they have a whole lot better service than PI and are very knowledgable :D

and ninja - cardinal rule of audio - listen with your own ears.. focal aren't available in auckland yet.. DLS are available around the country..
