So if you reported the plates as stolen - aren't Indy Cars receiving stolen property?

Or can you not report them as stolen

They cant be reported stolen for some reason, as even though I own them, they're on a car

Ha, I stopped to get a photo of this very car on the way home from work yesterday, saying to myself "man, I bet its brads car and he's gonna crack up when he sees this!"

Image

Its got some phat azz wheels on it now too. And they call it a "trd" model, and don't list the link ECU in the specs sheet!

Will be test driving this weekend all going to plan

The ownership of the plates is separate to the ownership of the car, advise Indy Cars that you are the legal and registered owner of the plates (Personalised Plates holds this info) and that if they are not returned to you immediately you will pursue them through the media rather than court.

Yeah I agree with purple beasty.

That tosser who bought the car did not own the plates - you do. Thus Indy Cars have no right in with holding the plates from their legal owner.

I reackon you should seek some serious legal help Brad.

As it says on the plastes website:

How to I change the "ownership" name that my personalised plate is under?
You and the new owner will need to complete a transfer agreement and send a copy to the:

Government Plate Manufacturer (LicenSys NZ Ltd.)
PO Box 22078
Otahuhu
Auckland

so they can update their records.

This obviously has not been done - So I can't see how they have a leg to stand on.

They couldnt have, it was a full wire in LinkPlus...more likely than not they dont actually realise its there.
Mark, feel free to park it up and remove the Link  Only four bolts hold it in, its still behind the carpet. Oh, its listed as a TRD model, because for some reason when it was first registered here the yard put it down as MR2 TRD for the model...I never bothered correcting it. Potential false advertising methinks? :D

I'm going to go see the disputes tribunal tomorrow, and potentially go see a lawyer. I like your idea Callum, and I may try that after consulting a lawyer to see what they say. The guy who owns the yard told me if the police were involved I wouldnt see the plates again
Obviously he doesnt realise that once they're off the car, I can have them remade - no-one else can...I rang Licensys today, and they've put a password on the ownership of the plates, so they cant be transferred.

What happens if you get a loan in NZ and $&#$% off to Australia?

Will they chase you for $3k?

Will Toby ever get the sweet chicken he so desires?

How gay  Though I would be surprised if he really has left, I know he said they were only going to be staying at that place for a couple of weeks til they found their own...
On one hand I'm not so pissed, cause he would have lost ALOT of money..Indy probably would only have given him $6500. But I still want my plates back

Yeah, I daresay he got a bit spooked with everyone driving past and going up to his house...he probably thought he'd get away with it cause I live in the north island.
Am gonna go to the courts today and see what we can achieve. They'll find him if hes still in the country.

If you want I'll go into indy cars personally and ask what the deal is. Its a lot easier to fob someone off on the phone than it is in person.
