What spring kit could I get for my Trueno?

Postby TruenoBZG » Sat Mar 04, 2006 6:41 pm

AE111, 1996 BZ G is the car, what lowering springs could I invest in for this? Ive done a search here but cant find anything for the 111, only 101.

I cant afford a full suspension kit as yet, just want to spend a few hundred to get it nice n' low and handling a bit better - any suggestions/advice?

Its sitting on pretty small mags at the moment - probably 13's or 14's....way too small, does this affect it much?

Thanks

Cool - I think I will buy TRD, sounds like the way to go - why the sway bar as well? Will that stiffen things up more?

Cheers

Also, how much can i lower my car before it gets illegal, too low for camber, or starts ruining my shocks?

Do I need new shocks with the springs, or do TRD springs work ok with standard shocks?

making your wheels too large will negatively impact your cars handling. if you change mags, stick to something 10% within the total diameter of the factory wheels

Your car will most likley be on 14's.

My trueno was on 14's when I bought it so I changed it to 15x6.5, with 205/50 dunlop dirrezas. Was money well spent, made the car soo much better to drive.

I was thinking of doing the springs and shocks too, but after the tyres I decided it was good enough.

Tru, point noted.

Punter - Thats interesting, was that because of less tyre roll or just the width of rubber on the road?

I dunno, just extra grip I think, they aren't exactally a whale from factory 8)

I would suggest that you buy the wheels and tyres you want first then see how it goes.
If its still not good enough then go for the springs and sway bars too.
