ECU Numbers for bluetops

Postby crispy'86 » Tue Mar 07, 2006 12:29 pm

I've done a search but haven't found the appropriate info i need.
I need Ecu numbers for AE82 FXGT, AW11, and AT160 Celica guys. Pretty much ALL ecu numbers and what they are off. I need to get the right ecu from my spares to get the race car running.

Doesn't really matter too much,
they all work the same.

Some just have different rev limiters etc, but they all ahve the same connectors etc etc and will plug in and run the car fine.

In saying that Matt an ae82 fxgt ecu won't run my ae86. I was under the impression it needs to be matching numbers . Tried this a while back now

my understanding is that fwd and rwd ecus have different pin "layouts" so they are not interchangable unless you change your loom to suit. I have got about 4 different rwd ecu's all with different numbers on them and they all run my rwd bluetop without any problems.

if you swap a few wires on a rwd loom round to suit the fwd ecu it will probably run fine.

What about the different pin outs on a couple of the connectors between the fwd ecu's though?? Would it stop the engine from running. I.e. spark advance, injector switching?
