The best cheapest restaurant in town?

Hey dunedin people,

I'm coming down there in about a weeks time and I was wondering what restaurants you had that are nice but not too expensive, I want to take someone out for dinner but I don't have lots to spend, sort of under $150.

Oh and I've already investigated KFC and McDonalds but it doesn't fulfil my needs.

Filadelfio's, The Reef, Weavers Retreat - Nice food, decent size meal + price
High Tide, Rooftop, Ombrellos, Lisburn House - Expensive and you get bugger all, classy as tho. Good to impress young lady friend ya?

Under $150 though. I been with my Mrs near on 2 years. A $30 meal cuts it. That way $60 all up and that other $90 can be spent on my car lol

Well its usualy about $250-300 for a meal if the family goes to one of the flasher places i listed, so $150 should cut it fine. Maccas and stelettos FTW

Etrusco (Italian Spaggeti & Pizza) is a really good place, aswell as the Esplanade.

Both around the same sort of price mark.

Just grill up a bit of steak, some veges etc, wrap in in tinfoil. Then just drive to the St Clair Esplanade and eat it there. What could be more romantic?
