monster tacho

Postby bluemaumau » Fri Mar 10, 2006 4:22 pm

not sure if ive got this in the right section,

looking at buying a monster tacho for the wagon.

what are the good features i need to look for?

ive done some research,

what is electro-luminescant(Sp)????
is this just when it lights up at nite?

ive figured so far that i need
a shift light with cap
a descent amount of revs
it to light up at night so i can see it.

any other ideas? just lookin for a good cheapie :D

thanks

What about them sedgidens ones that have Neon lights behind them?

On a serious note tho.

Why dont ya invest in a Apexi unit it has RPM digi display, easy use to install a shift light should you want one as well as MANY other functions and displays to graph and veiw making it an all round great package for very little extra cost.

"The new unit also delivers a host of new functions. Standard features include: Engine RPM, Vehicle Speed, Travel Distance, and Battery Voltage (All which can be displayed in real time graph mode, numerical mode, or analogue mode; 1-4 channels at a time.), Peak Hold, Replay (With 60 second playback.), Speed Limiter Cut, 0-100m, 200m, 400m times with trap speed, 0-100km/h, 200km/h, 300km/h times, 100km/h, 200km/h, 300km/h ￾E0 times, user defined Mid Range Acceleration, Stop Watch functions, Best Time Memory, RPM Warning, Speed Warning, RPM and Speed Outputs (For external devices requiring an RPM or speed signal.), Tire Size Correction (For acceleration and timing accuracy.), and Vehicle weight input" And it removes speed cut ( Not that thats promoted on toyspeed, but should you requiire more than 180kph for a drag race.. your sorted :P )

ANd its a a hole new range of rice.

its like 4 wires dude. I did mine in my starlet a few years ago..

its easy, the instructions tell you excatly what wire on the ecu = for what wire on the rsm, and how to do it ( Cut or splice onto ) just match the wires and tape it up and your done.

Cikey id do it for a 6 pack..

Im ordering my injectors next week so if u want to add onto that can get from over seas for..

$254.04 NZ Dollars Including shipping ( 3 days )
