Corona diff into KE70?

Postby Hachiroku » Tue Mar 21, 2006 11:58 pm

I've heard a tt13x/14x t series diff is a straight swap into a KE70 corolla. Is this true? I'm putting a 4age into my corolla and want a bigger diff to handle the increased power. As always any help is appreciated

mounts may be close, but the driveshaft yoke will need to be changed, and dshaft shortened I believe. (done at same time).

Does the t series diff in the TT1xx Corona have discs or drums?

Would that diff fit into a TE71 Corolla? It has a S series diff in there at the moment.

Are you sure the flanges are different? I've got an E-series diff out of a Cressida at home which looks like it has the same flange as an AE86 diff (which bolts to ke70 driveshaft?) Bottom mounts are close enough too. Won't be using it though because it's from a diesel (wrong ratio).

Isn't the t series and s series housing the same? How about an AE70/TE71 housing with corona nugget, axles and drums?

If I need to adapt something I also have a borg warner disc lsd from an r31 skyline but I'd rather go for something bolt in and cheap if I can.

the entire corona diff will also fit, seen it in my mates AE85, and the driveshaft end was the same, not sure if this is true of all coronas though?
