You can get, and it can be worth getting a thicker one...but it depends on the car and what you are wanting to achieve in the handelling dept

edit: Ive never really mucked around with a sw20 setup as i have only had them on loan, never owned, so I dont want to be direct in reccomending or not, as it depends on a cars charactistics. Also, is it an early or later sw20?

Snells in Penrose. I magine around the $300 mark. Had a larger front one made for my 4 recently.
However, as above, be careful as it has the potential to destroy, rather than improve the handling. Make sure your do your research before changing it.

Go for the front before you do the rear. This is where the weight shifts to when conering, so you're more concerned about keeping that balanced than the rear.

One thing I'd recommend is a strut brace for the rear. Makes a hugely noticeable difference. Mine is a Cusco one and is fantastic.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

I wouldnt reccomend beefing up the rear sway bar.

If you want better handling, I'd suggest looking at shocks/springs first, assuming that you have standard suspension.

And a rear strut brace is a good thing to have. 8)

Always just have two standard ones mount one on top of the other...Thats what I have for my front setup as I have recently added a SW20 rear sway bar to my AW11...but having a rear sway bar thick than the front isnt a good idea leet me tell you that! haha

I just put ST sway bars in my SW20.
I would recomend researching, and knowing what it is you are trying to achieve. My car now sits very flat during cornering.
ST do recomend that you do both front and back as they are a "tuned set"

Good on you for asking first... before you spend your money.
Doing your homework before making a descision is the best thing you can do for your car.
Reducing body roll doesn't always means more cornering power. Controlling body roll - body roll can change the angle between the wheel/tyre and the road i.e. your camber angle. Most modern suspension controls this fairly well, so that some body roll doesn't change the camber much.
However if you have no body roll at all when cornering you will have lots of weight transfer which leads to less total grip! This could lead to big understeer if you go to a big front swaybar without looking at the cars handling as a whole (wheels, tyres, spring rates, swaybar rates etc.)
One of the best handling sportscars (the Lotus Elan) had no swaybars! The handling balance and grip was sorted out without needing to use swaysbars at all!

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!
