cliff - you have a spare gen 2 ecu and wayne hasn't pinched it yet?
Anyway I wired a st185 engine into a st165 last year, it was fairly straighforward but took quite a while as I didn't have proper diagrams for either. Just swapping the ecu would make it a bit easier, I'm pretty sure there's enough similarities that the st165 loom could be used, the main differences I'm aware of between the two is that the st185 uses an intake air temp sensor in the AFM, the st165 has one in the intake manifold, and possibly uses the one in the AFM too since it doesn't have a map sensor
all you'd need to do for the map sensor would be to wire a couple of resistors onto the appropriate wires (since you want to get rid of boost cut).
