$&#$% that was a big anti climax. some of the members looked like they were set on a explosion..

matt dunn.. cant beat the flywheel pops on rotaries. they are always spectacular, generally rupturing fuel lines and causing all sorts of havok.

did any 1 see the white ke70 DX rotangalang at the summer nats go up in smoke? now that was impressive :D

Hahaha! Gold, mate. Thats' certainly the southern way to do it!

I've done/seen numerous blowups, Matt Dunn is right, factory carb'd rotaries just can't get enough fuel to the motor to break things, the couple I've seen, one blew a water hose and cooked itself (slowed down.. then stopped!), and the other was helped with a handful of bolts down the carb! (crunchBANGsilence...)

Its funny how hard it is to kill rotaries when you want them to blow, but you'd be driving down the road in 5th at 50km/h, and THATS' when they decide to shit apex seals..

And same goes for k-series, my mate raced his 4K'd KE70 around a dirt track, hit a rock and dropped all oil, 4 laps of valve-bouncing later he finished the race, seized up on the way back to the pits, we let it cool down, duct-taped up the sump, filled it with gearbox oil (thats' all we could scrounge!), did its' next 2 races. That was 2 years ago, and last time I asked, it still serves purpose as a paddock basher for his brothers' kids!

my old mitzi mirage tried to kill it the bugger went for 10mins with the old ac pump on da gas, untill it ran out of gas , we then thaught it would be a perfect oppertunity to put about 5handfulls of dirt in the oil filler cap as with about a liter of water to wash it down.....she ran for about 5more mins before throwing a rod and kept going on 3cylinders the poor thing just wouldnt die until a awful bang when part of the rod locked up the crank at 7000rmps and went threw the block and fire wall, u could put ur hand in the block feel the pistion on the crank ow and the whole moter was glowing red

only mitsi i will ever buy
due to the lak of intrest the light at the end of the tunnel has been turned off
