Synchros a nackered im guessing. Same thing with my box in my ae82. New box or get the synchros replaced.

Put the clutch in when changing gear's

Haha, didnt you put your old fxgt motor into a wagon? So the gearbox was working in the FXGT before you removed it?

na i have a red top tvis in the fx and a small port for the wagon

New box or get the synchros replaced.

I would't bother fixing it untill its really bad (ie. it chruches no matter how gentle you are)

It takes ages for that to happen, I've had a crunchy thrid when
down-shifting hard for about a year, and it hasn't got any worse.
