Best option for sending gearbox from auck to wgtn?

Hey,

I want to get a gearbox from auckland down to here in wgtn. Who will be able to do this? It doesn't look like a normal courier co. will do it unfortunetly :?

Approx cost would be good aswell if anyone has done it before 8) .


Any help would be appreciated!

arround 60-80 dollars, try Freighlines, 19 Druces Rd Manukau Auckland 0-9-262 0104

I sent an e51 from aucks to chch for $56 with dailyfreight.

downside is you have to pack it on a pallet and drop off/pick up from depots

Thanks man, do they have a web site? I can't find them in the whitepages under that address or number ?.

That sounds good. I just need to find the easiest option for the seller. I guess you would need to supply the pallet wouldn't you?

Daily Freight is part of Mainfreight by the looks of it. I founf their web site but it doesn't seem to be working. I wanted to see where their depots are so I could tell the seller.

When I get a minute I'll give them a ring.

Quite correct, they are one in the same, Mainfreight is the parent company from memory (been a while since I managed their mobile accounts) :wink:

i shipped an engine from welly to chch, through mainfreight, dropped it off at their depot at port road, and they put it on a pallet and just got me to fill out the shipping forms, they did everthing else

I shipped a W58 from Auck to Welly with Fastway for 120$ from memory. The guy had to pick it up at the depo in welly though as it was too heavy to deliver.

And buyer paid for shipping of course. :P

they told me I needed to supply the pallet so I just made one.
