go to stocks and ask them, they may know of a stiffer replacement,

or you could get some made up, youll probly need to upgrade your dampers to altleast new ones.

Kings = too hard and crap

Jamex = softer and better

Lovells = Great springs! (can get for ae92 so should be able to for ae82)

TRD's = also great, but not sure if you can get them for ae82

I'd go for lovells personally, they will make the car handle awesome.

You should definately do shocks at the same time, get KYB's - they are good.

Howcome you wanted to know which springs are stiffer? Stiff doesn't mean it will make your car handle better.

Ive just had JAMEX installed and the front is great - nice and stiff, but the rear is still a little 'doughy' - not as tight nor low as the front, i was told they'd settle a bit and the rear is pretty light on the AE111's

yea i dont want like drifting stiff, but like stiffer than normal, does sway bars make it a bit stiffer,
and also replacing bushes, does it help that much?

To get harder springs means you will need to get stiffer shocks to control them, hard spring plus standard rate shocks will just give a bouncy ride...

If it is performance you want i would approach someone like Snells springs and get them to make up so 280lb fronts and 200lb rears, however to retain any reasonable ride height they will need to be short which means shortened struts, and to control the springs you will need stiffer struts so to do the job satisfactory is going to cost $$$$

A budget approach would be to get some koni or AGX adjustable struts for the front and run a set of "insert brand here" lowered springs, the rears will suffice on std shocks and you shopuld be able to get enough damping in the front to minimise pulverising your shocks from excess travel

i have kings all round in my fxgt with koni adjustable dampner shocks at each corner , ur main problem with the softness is actually the shocks themselves , i had tryed scumroe and kyb before and it was to soft , but changed to koni and i wont go back .
if u do want the rear stiffer , then upgrade ur swaybar and u can go stiffer springs , but the only way to do it is by doing wot trdwagon said and getting custom ones made at snells , trust me i have looked at all the aftermarkets and none of them are an uprated spring 8)
hope this helps u

Could you use ae92 struts plus ae82 tophats to run TRD springs? Just an idea might work :D might need to change the hubs too but ae92 have bigger brakes anyway 8)

I have whiteline springs, they are just a lowering spring set, 45mm drop. Dont know any numbers but the front is a lot harder than standard, they rear only a little harder. Handling is just meh but dont expect springs alone to improve handling much at all.

the spacing of the bolts on the strut to hub are different from ae82 to ae92

Only on the rear, fronts are interchangable from 82 up to 111

Swaybars are what you want, I've seen/driven cars whose handling was vastly improved with thicker/solid swaybars, even with factory shocks and springs. Whiteline usually want $300 - $350 with nolethane bushes, if thats' too much for you, perhaps take your factory one to an engineering workshop and see if they can make one up from thicker tube? I've heard of racecars with 2 factory ones hoseclamped together! Super rangi.. but hey, if it works..
