strut bar

Postby bluemaumau » Fri Mar 31, 2006 12:18 am

i would like to put a strut bar on the wagon once i get the gze in. im not 100% sure but id guess a ae101 bar will fit but anyway,

these toyota bars bolt to the towers(obviously) but also bolt up to the firewall., now the wagon dosent have these holes in the firewall for this so wat can i do?

1. leave it, just bolt it to the towers
2. drill holes in firewall and bolt up.
3 another option

2- is this legit?

cheers

You could drill the holes and put nuts behind.
If your car is AE10X the strut brace from AE101 should fit.

I know they do it all the time(also look at speeding, jaywalking hell, lots of things), doesn't make it any less illegal.

Or if you don't want to mug around with the firewall, you could always buy an aftermarket strut brace which connects the 2 towers directly, only cost around $50 at trademe~

Brand that probably no one has ever heard of. Not sure about quality as I have not bought one before, but it shouldn't be any worst than the factory brace.
