got a new car (..not toyota)

Postby MrBeef » Fri Mar 31, 2006 10:49 am

Hey guys, well just over a month ago I rolled my car (check my profile for pics).

So we bought this
http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motor ... 121074.htm

A 1996 Holden Vectra 2.0
A Very nice car to drive, rather big. Has plenty of get up and go and handles real nice. Would have liked to get a toyota however I didnt have a say, seeing as how my parents were forking out the $3,700 for it. Which is really good for a car in this condition so tidy.

Just some pics I took this morning, only had a week now at home and it's all ready filthy hehe.

So now im in the "none of this jap crap" club haha, and i can curse the germans if something goes wrong heh.

yeh, they are notorious for the cam angle sensor to shit out and cause the car to run shite. But they had already replaced that soo all good..

I'm driving my parents old Vectra at the moment. 800kms to a 60litre fill, 500 of those kms were around town. Bloody long in the gears for a 4 banger, just under 2500rpm @ 100 in 5th.

Awww what a phat as drift machine bay!
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

fuel economy aint bad, its only a 4 cyclinder it aint a thirsty 3.8 v6.

Very long gears, does 110 in 2nd just before the rev cut at 6,6 revs. Has very nice "whine" at the high end of its rev range.
