Pretty sure they did.

We modified our first 1JZ to do away with the hyd pump part,

But the 2JZ we have has just the normal looking pump.
I will be working on it tommorw at Ruapuna so will get a pic if I can.

supras have the hydralic ones as well, i thought it was the soarers that came without? anyway, you can get them new from toyota for less than $100 i think. we bought two and paid stuff all for them.

jzz30 soarers definantly have a normal pump, and the 1jz-ge ive got here out of a jzx90 chaser has a normal one as well.
The genuine pumps come with the rear housing and everything so that'd be your best best.

Ive just checked my 2jz-ge from a jzx91 chaser and it too has a normal waterpump :D which means got a spare one here with a good waterpump, so if you get stuck give me a pm and I can probably help you out.

Simon why ask when you've got my Soarer sitting right there next to you ay? :P

I've got a brand new rear housing for a 1J waterpump but the front is sitting in the Soarer at the moment if you are interested in just the rear housing for now?

there is two different bolt patterns where the pump bolts on, from memory the holes on the passengers side line up but the further to the right you go the more the holes dont line up

from my experience the JZA70 mk 3 supra has the hydro, some people swap it for the JZZ30 soarer one. Also the 2JZGTE Aristo has the hydro, swop it for the JZA80 mk4 supra one if required ,or a soarer one.

when i blew my 1jzgte (from a jzx90-hydro) i tried a non hydro, and didnt fit, the patterns were different, we tried 3 different models pumps - all slightly different bolt pattern.so i got a second hand one from toyotas galore- and it started leaking after a week, so i bought the $50 washer to fix it.
but i have remove the hydro bit from it,
i dismantled pump and removed all the compnent for the hydro pump, and then reinstalled (the original pump leaked because i did not hook up hydropump, and it running dry gets hot and washer between hydro bit and water dit cracks and leaks), (2nd pump i tried hydro pumping fliud in a circle, that leaked aswell).
then i got a hacksaw and cut all that hydro crap off the pump, looks almost like a non hydro pump. havent had any proplems in over a year.

yeah, thats the hydro one, i mean we only paid less than 100 for the non hydro one, tidyed up that area of the motor heaps and allowed us to do our intake piping how we wanted to, blakenz can vouch for that :) how ya been anyway blake? you'll have to come up again sometime and try and catch up at dads sometime. sounds like i have to thank you for some nice new toys, or 6, lol. THANKS!!

but on topic, i'll see if i can find the part number that we used for our water pumps and post it up to help people out.
