just need to know as my mate needs a gearbox wants to know if mine will fit.

Yeah boss I'm pretty sure all the bellhousings are the same, but there are different clutch kits.

WRONG!

Gearbox will bolt up no worrys, clutch kit doesnt need to be changed, same output shaft, all you will need is the main water pipe (from the smallport) that runs down the length of the block as this clears a bulge on the smallports gearbox. The smallports gearbox has a mount under the gearbox which mounts to the sub frame but the bluetop dosent so you just leave that one out.

sweet cheers for that, so smallport gearboxs are a little bit bigger than bluetops bigport. what about redport bigports?

the smallport box, will fit on bluetop, but not the other way round

The smallport clutch is 212mm contact area, bluetop bigport is 200mm, they do actually fit both ways, but you do the math, its very safe one way, not so much the other
