Interesting, I thought the turbo on those things was more efficient. Does it have intake and exhaust done?

Nah GTR's are the shizzel, its gtx that are shitty, we have gone through 2 gtx gearboxs, ran a gtr gearbox and its sweet 8)

gtr's also have nice turbos. gtx turbo is a joke.

but i think youll find there still not that strong, but the turbos are really nice and really expensive

Im pretty sure my mate will object to the GTR boxes being strong, im pretty sure he's up to his 7th rebuild now in 3 years.

I made 178kw at all 4 in my BF about 6 or 7 years ago, same motor as you, different turbo and different shell. Plenty of power there for the old dohca

As for gear boxes its all how ya treat em and whether ya just replace them with unknown second hand ones or rebuilt properly.

I think I went thru 3 BG (GTX) boxes in about 2 years and went back to a rebuilt 1600 box in the end
