Carib BZ-T fuel use

Postby subedoo » Tue Apr 11, 2006 9:19 pm

Hi all, I've had a bzt Carib for about 4 months, and was wondering how many ks other bzt owners get from a tank.

Its got trick cams in it and a SAFC air flow converter thingy, I'm wondering how much that affects fuel consumption. Running on 98 I can get about 500 from a tank, but loaded up and/or on 95 this drops to about 400-450/tank.

Is this about normal or does she have a drinking problem??

You'll be getting even less with BPs initiation in petrol price rise - another 6 cents a litre now I believe.

Is this the 2.0 l turbo version?

I get around 550km per tank, same for 95 and 98.

A BZ Touring is Blacktop 6 speed.

Yeah, well, glad we sold the VR4 Legnum, 400 km from a 60 litre tank was real good!

Its a 20v 4a-ge

 I could only get around 400km from a tank in mine, however that was mainly peak hour travelling

I get 580 from a tank of 91 when driving around town and 650 on long trips between drinks, much better than the fuel consumption of the starlet

Nah, didn't drive it hard, didn't want the tickets.... Most of the mileage was driving in stop, start, idle peak hour traffic so no doubt influenced it somewhat, never took the car on a trip, but when we went cruising around on the weekends (a mixture of 80% peak and 20% normal driving) the range increased to around 450km

That sounds a bit closer to us, once you take into account there's 2 kids, a dog and the kitchen sink shoehorned in there!

Who says Caribs aren't baby freindly!
