3sgte Gen3 head on gen2 block.

Anyone got a photo of a Gen3 head? i just want to make sure sure oil gallaries etc line up.

anyone done this before.

galleries etc line up fine, I have a gen 3 headgasket on mine and many others have done the whole swap with no problems

The Gen 3 h/g has different water passage to gen 2 h/g
You might wanna check that out first.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

yeah it's slightly different, but the difference is very little, there is still similar amounts of coolant flow into each coolant jacket in the head, just a little less on the intake side

Yeap, there are speculations if Toyota did this to force more water to the exhaust side, and cool the valves / block / whatever to reduce the "detonation on #3" problem that many believes.

Let me know if it works, because my h/g is blown (Thanks A1 turbos!) and looking into getting something a tad stronger.
