GT4 RC shocks st185

Hi there
I've been doing some reading on the differences between the rc and standard gt4 versions... as there is a lot of information out there
But in regarding suspension, all i have found is that the RC has a better set up in suspension and different/extra struts, etc

I am curious to know if the shocks and springs themselves are better in the RC version than the standard gt4 st 185.

Bottom Line:
I am wondering if putting in some standard RC shocks (2nd hand, 150,000kms) is worth it. ie. will i notice a difference from my standard st185 200,000kms shocks

now obviously i may notice a difference because of the 50,000km difference... but is the mileage the only thing making the RC shocks better???

In my books, 150,000km shocks are ready for the bin :wink:

Too right, and replaced $&#$% shocks with other $&#$% shocks wont help any, just buy some new high pressure replacements for your car, or possibly TRD, this will give you as big improvments that shocks can give you.

Maybe if you get the chassis numbers from an RC model, Mr Revhead could supply new ones?

not at all worth it. Some good aftermarket replacements will be 100x better than 150,000km RC shocks/springs.

just be ultra hardcore and get Coilovers, i know when i get the chance in the longer future thats what im going to be looking at.

yeah difference between 200k and 150k is like being shot in the head with a .44 magnum or 357 magnum
your just as fcuked.

it depends on the cars use and your preference, for most ppl i do recommend stock shocks for a daily driver, even with uprated springs. but for some a stiffer shock is good. but dont go to hard or youll hate it!

Just a bit low in cash so was just looking at all the options.
i'll save up and get some new shocks.

Eevryone recommend changing shocks and springs at the same time??

I know i'll benefit most with new shocks AND springs, but thought i'd get them at the same time to save labour, etc.
Money is the only thing :)

new genuines are CHEAP.

if you plan on doing springs then yes, do them at the same time
