Who can tint my windows for me?

Postby UTERUS » Sat Apr 15, 2006 6:22 pm

I had a go at tinting the windows on the soarer and ive never done it before so it looks pretty rugged.

I am happy to pay cash/beers for someone to do them for me, the reason i dont want to goto a shop is because they will only want to put on 35% tint wont they? I want 15% which suits my car better.

I will supply the tint film or whatever, so anyone keen for a cashy?

Cheers,
Simon

It is a myth that emos are contagious, and you may be infected. However, it is still widely accepted to wash your hands after physical contact

Why bother? You will just have to rip 15%'s off for your next warrant. Have you considered some of the more bronzed or semi mirror tints (only mildly reflective so tend to pass WoF's)?

Getting a wof isnt an issue. I know the mirror ones you mentioned but i think they look horrible.

ive found that most cops are pretty leniant on tints, as long as your attitude is right. i had 5%s in my car for over a year and never got a ticket.
and its no big drama to re-do your tints every 6 months...

I also had 5% tints on my ute for the year i had it and got pulled over a couple of times and the officers didn't mention how dark the tints were.

no its simple as just doing it on the car.
problem is people dont use enough water and detergent.
You basically cut the sheet to required size but a bit bigger.
when you peel off the plastic to reveal the sticky side u spary that with the detergent, put heaps on, then put heaps of it on the window, then u place the sheet on the window and place heaps more detergent spray onto the tint and swipe it with a card wrapped in a rag and get out all the detergent that was sprayed on there. cut it with a razor blade so it fits on the window nicely. go over it again and again with detergent and the card until all bubbles are gone then leave it for a day or so.
