Postby 86_rolla » Sun Apr 16, 2006 2:04 pm

hey guys.

looking at buying a car in the nearish future, im looking at the ae82/ae92 corollas. I would prefer an 82 tho. Getting sick of my honda and its packing a shitty all the time.

So what are your guys opnions on these good? bad? fun? problems?. Tvis/no tvis or whatver.

Non TVIS ae92 fx or levin

Light cheap fast cars 8) Handling is average but can easily be improved.

Parts are dirt dirt cheap. everything is so simple and easy to fix.

Go the rollas

ae92 ftw. But i prefer the look of a good ae82...not that there are many nice looking, good condition ones out there at the moment.

i have a feeling the price of a nice condition ae82 rolla is increasing a bit. I got mine in real good condition for 1200 now for the same thing with higher kms your looking at around 2200...

Facelift ae92's have sfa rust. Ive heard they used a better primer from factory.

This is just what ive heard though, however, my ae92 facelift is striped to the bones and not a single patch of rust.

ae82's are getting more expensive. You can still find them cheap but some people think they are becoming a cult car and want more money for them.

ae82s have too much rust, unless you find a minter that's been garaged all its life... and if you do that, you will pay a lot for it.

They're both a much of a muchness. Both have average handling out of the box.

If you're going Ae92, get the Smallport non-tvis

If you're going Ae82, get the one without the sunroof
