Just means the toys take longer to get on the road, or just end up driving the hack (like I have an option at present). Its not really that expensive yet.

Im thinking of maybe getiing a shitter, even though my cars not to bad to run, Santa drives his corolla to work instead at the mo, better milage than the Caldina, and saves wear and tear on it i guess. I hate the litres per dollars ration when ya putting in the gas, talk bout getting crap all for ya Money :?

It's bloody expensive when your fuel bill is now $300-$400 more a month than what it was a year ago!!!!

But the rise in petrol prices definitely has changed my mind over what car to buy next. Cause i really wanted to go for a turbo supra, but after having two n/a's and being happy with those i might just stick to that, cause they were still good on fuel compared to the turbos. Or i could just buy a scooter and pay bugger all for fuel, lol.

I changed from using 96 in the Sentra to using 91 around 6 months ago and found it made no difference to performance or economy, so that has helped my budget a little with the price rises. Other than that I'm just using a little less welly when driving and limiting the running around where possible. And the play car only gets used on occasional Sundays so its fuel economy is no a problem (although spending more on gas towing the car to and from an event than I spent on entry fees was a bit of a new one for me :( )

But for those complaining about the price per litre, just think how much it costs to buy a litre of bottled water from that same petrol station...
We know that four-wheel drive doesn't work in a racing car, and I proved to myself that it doesn't work very well for rallycross. I'm absolutely convinced that it has no future in rallying, either, even if the regulations allowed it. - Roger Clark (rallying legend), circa 1976

Hehe I have to ride my scooter round now since I don't have a road car. It gets about 70-125 kms per litre depending on how I drive.

Its a Air-cooled 49 cc 2-stroke. 6,5 hp/ 6.500 rpm, 0,73 kg-m/ 6.000 rpm. V-belt automatic.

Nope I couldn't care less. All in all its just $10 more a week for me. I would say that I have eased back on the drinking but thats a blatant lie. Shortly I will be bolting the turbo on and it will be interesting to see the economy vs the supercharger. Not having to drive a supercharger it should theoretically use less to produce the same power??? Im not really sure but Im still doing it :D

I would use public transport if it was convenient, and by that I mean pick me up at my drive and drop me off at work so thats not probably going to happen :P

Yea, thats a good point. The public transport here is completely insufficient compared to other cities around the world.
Motorsport is like sex. You could take it to track and have a long, enjoyable session, or you could take it to the strip and get it over with in less than 20 seconds.

Well I can tell you that last coupla paycheques i've only been able to put in $40, instead of filling up, due to being that close to the bottom of the bank... Course i've been spending 1 week in 2 out of town, so it has been balancing out fortunately....

I have to drive minimum of 50k each day, so fuel prices are stinging me a bit....

... but given I had no mods planned anyway, Its not affecting _that_...
