Torque settings for exhaust manifold stud into block [3SGTE]

When I took my turbo off to fix the warped manifold I had 3 studs wind out of the block at the same time, so I'm going to replace these. About to put new studs in, so what torque figures should I use?

finger tight, locktite optional (makes pain in the butt if you break the stud)...

well, by tightning the nut on the stud you will tighten the stud as well. If you try to tighten the stud, there is a risk of stripping/damaging the thread, as either stud will press against the end of the thread in the head or end of the thread in the stud. In this case the force will not be distributed across whole length of the thread, but only on first couple of turns (or last if it is stopped by end of the thread on the stud).

and btw, locktite on exhaust parts is almost as good as a wet matchstick imo.
No "stance", no "hellaflush", none of that bullshit. Nothing but no grip on full boost.

yeah pretty much, most Loctite products are only good to ~300c....turbo manifolds seem to get a touch hotter than that ;)

but the stud does not heat that much, it is in the head any way, if say alloy was heated to 300'C, it would become soft and stud would literaly be pulled out..
