ke30 4age fuel pump wiring

getting sparky from work to wire up my 4age. does the fuel pump have to be wired in a certain way back to ecu ect... or should it just be perminantly on, i know theres some features in ecu that kills pump on engine stalls I.E. a crash

from searching looks like has to be done certain way. how did you wire up your VL pump jebus?

also anything else he might want to know before doing the engine loom. its going to be cut and labeled from that dude on trademe. wheres a good place under the dash to mount ecu? away from water I guess.

my VL pump is wired up to run while the key is on, nothing to do with the ECU.

i bolted my ECU to the bottom of the parcel tray, just as long as people don't kick it with their feet its sweet.

am i missing something completely? i thought the parcel tray is behind the back seats?

theres often small parcel trays in the front of older cars - my ke70 had one.

thats a point, ill have to look under the dash for spots to put it, wonder if it fits under passenger seat?

got to fix heater anyway so dash will be apart

yea this guys right, its bolted to the bottom of a tray which sits under my glovebox. I just used the normal mounting bracket for the ECU and drilled four holes thru the parcel tray. works well and doesn't move around at all and passed certification.

if your loom is being made by hamish off trademe, then the loom will have 4 wires to wire up only
1 small red - Constant to batt
1 big red - ACC
1 Black - Starter 12 v (off back of ignition when starter is cranking
1 Green - Fuel pump

So u just wire it up to your fuel pump and a earth off the other side of pump and the ecu does all the turning on and off of the pump
