Boot spoiler removal - AE111

Postby redline racer » Sun May 07, 2006 4:43 pm

Hi i have a Ae111 levin, possibly looking at removing the boot spoiler.

I have seen there are two nuts to loosen from inside the boot lid, and the adhesive gunk on the outside, but i think i can also maybe see a clip? (through the gunk)

The spoiler is still very firm with the nuts loosened and the adhesive is fractured/weathered, so surley there is something im not doing here?

Any advice apperciated

Cheers.

My curren spoiler has 5 bolts. 3 are easily visible. 2 are hidden and it took me ages to find em. Maybe thats an option? Check under your boot lining...

iirc

1 bolt either side

1 plastic clip either side, about as big as 20c piece (ish) you'll just have to undo the bolts then slowly lever it till they pop out
