This may sound a little rice ... (petrol cap)

Postby GTCRSHR » Wed May 10, 2006 3:13 pm

But, my rear flares are goign to go over where the petrol cap cover is (where you fill it up)

is there any way of moving this too the boot (or some where else)

or is there any sort of replacement one so that it doesnt need to open ?

Or how hard would it be to turn it round so it opens the other way out ? (opens towards the boot instead of the front of the car?)

any ideas would be appreciated :)

cheers

Moving that in any shape or form is going to be a PITA. If you moved the filler to the boot then there is the whole have to open to he boot everytime & make sure nothing is in the way.

Not sure how your set up works but I would assume it is hinged, does the hinge have a recease that it folds back in to or is it hinged differently?

hey i dont mind having to open the boot to fill it up, thats the least of my problems,

im assuming its gravity fed to the actual tank hence why it needs to be some where higher or equal to where it is now (i was thinking putting it under the spare wheel well)

im not too sure what you mean by the hinge ? yes its hinged and it pops open by the button next to the drivers seat

car is a ae101 fxgt

cheers

Could always get a drop tank made up for it, not only do they look badass from the outside, the filler will be a flap on top of the tank accessed by your boot. Might be a bit costlier than you would like though??
