Stock maximum fuel pressure supplied by ae86 fuel pump?

Postby crnkin » Sat May 06, 2006 7:24 pm

Spose this is on for karl, matt or bendan, but anyone who can tell me will be much appreciated.

The fuel pressure regulator should do about 2.6 bar, supposedly, but im just wondering the max pressure i can get out of it, so i can decide if i need to get a bigger pump or not.

And if anyone can reccomend a good after market pump (someone was suggesting a 230lph walboro?)

thanks!

the stock static fuel pressure can be arround 6-8 bars, but it is static ie return blocked car is not running, once you get nice flow going the pressure will drop significantly...

Matt did over 300hp engine hp on stock fuel pump, with plenty of room for more (rich afrs), why you need more?
are you in US?... is this Club4AG ?

no not in the us, and im assuming its an ae86 pump (in my at141), but im just gonna try it, stock everything, and if it blows up it blows up. But thanks for the help anyways.

Its the pressure im concerned with, ive studied matts setups and theres more to come from the stock injectors and ecu.

friggan crnkn!!!!
you runing std ecu right? well asuming you are then there are a number of other things youll need to be doing before even worrying about the rail pressures. Go ask Grotbag what you should be doing and try listening for a change.

I am sure there is a reason we havent tried it.......probably the same reason we never tried boosting a k engine through the standard air filter housing
