Just got a full 2.5 inch exhaust on my corona, sounds really deep and good, but its way too loud for my liking. It runs a 19 inch coby and a twin drift style muffler set up at the back.

Obviously, having gone for a 2.5 inch exhaust, im looking for flow, the car goes really well, my only concern is the 5-0.

Soooo if anyone could reccomend a resonator to help me with this that wont hinder my performance much, please help, ive seens posts about flowmasters, are these good, how much are they, and where can i get one? Or something similar.

Im just using a Straight stainless manderl bent exhaust with 1 bullet style muffler

its kinda loud but not as bad as I thought it was gona be.

I used to have on it a 2.5" system with 2x 19" long resonators that had expansion chambers built into them with the bullet style muffler and it was perfect!

Hmm im only running a single 19inch plus the RPS muffler and 2.5inch the whole way and not overly loud at all

haha its only been on the road for a week or so bazda, when you work 100+ hours at uni and make 190 a week its hard to have the car you know you can build!

i think maybe what makes it bad is the twin tips, when i put my foot over one of them, it sounds heaps better....... But keep the ideas comming!

Aw you guys are the best. I think this year ive really had a motive to do stuff, and if cable ties are what it takes to mount a front mount so be it.

Turbo's make good mufflers... just put another turbo about halfway down the exhaust - just plumb the output of the compressor into you ventilation system, you will never have fogged up windows again.!

so back to the exhaust, is a plow master designed to be a muffler, or a resonator? i found a 2.5 inch one on trademe, but does anyone know where i can get a new one from, or how much, or can anyone get me a deal on one or????

funny- this rona i built is running 2 1/2 inch with only a muffler in the middle and is stealth as for the fuzz, till the external opens anywhos
