Hi Everyone

Not Sure if some members remember me : But I am from Sunny South Africa.. 8) Anyways as I have mentioned here on this board previously that my intentions are to convert/modify my existing AE92 4 door Hatchback into a 2 door Hatchback like your New Zealand version GTFX or I think GTV Twincam 16 (as its termed if I am not mistaken)... :roll:

Well an unfortunate scenario in our country is that Importing one of your vehicles (AE92 Two door Hatch) is going to cost a fortune and I don't mean that lightly....so what I have decided to do is with the help of my panelbeater...Is to convert my existing vehicle as pictured in my signature to your 2 door version with bits/parts I would like to import to do this.

In order to complete this task I need to be correct about my measurements...so I have done a few measurements of my vehicle and now I need a willing New Zealander to get out the tape measure and please get me some measurements...if he is the owner of one of these beautiful 2 door AE92 Hatchbacks.... :?:

Will there be anyone out there willing to help a South African toy fan... :?:

Sorry for your note : Your 2 door AE92 hatch is NOT available in South Africa at all....I think there might have been just one that I have seen here and that was an import model...So your 2 door versions are like rare... :cry: :

what measurements do you want? any idea how much it would cost me to get some tazz taillights from SA??

Hi There

The measurements that I am looking for :

1. Width of the doors (2 door version) measure directly below door handle (edge to edge)
2. Length of rear quarter glass (pop out window)
3. Length from edge/ending of rear quarter glass to rear hatch door.

Lemme know if this above is clear enough... :wink:

I can get you the Tazz Tail-lights...You seem to know about our cars here.. :roll: Are you referring to updated spec Tazz tail-lights...they certainly look the business.... 8) Maybe we can help each other....All i need (according to panelbeater) is the (AE92 FXGT 2 door) :

1. 2 x Doors complete with glass
2. 2 x rear quarter glass

For now........Lemme know.... :wink:

I'm more than willing to help you out for parts.
How will you ship the parts to South Africa?

Suggestion - get the doors and glass first so any modifications you do will fit perfectly.

I used to think that the orange and green tictacs gave you special powers. The orange ones would make you stronger and the green ones would make you faster. So i used to eat some green ones and run around my lounge as fast as i could, then eat the orange ones and try to pick up the sofa. I wish it were true!

thats awesome dude, where did you get that?? Is it some sort of panelbeaters measurement sheet?? can you do ae91 fxg 4 door ones?

Hi Ken...Sorry bout the delayed reply...been busy at work...YES ! I will most definately be interested in taking as much parts of your hands as possible.If this car COULD have ever been shipped Complete to South Africa then I would purchase it from you.Alas I do believe that you are in New Zealand and so is the car... :?: Maybe we can arrange to have the 2 doors and rear hatch quarter glasses shipped to me in South Africa...I am not sure what the shipping costs would be... :roll: Would you be able to find out from your side (considering that you will be doing the shipping) what the cost will be ( I believe its based on weight.. :roll: ) I also need to find out what the exchange rate is from New Zealand Dollars... :?: to South African rands will be... :arrow: Can you supply me with prices and so forth... 8) The telephone number you have given above...Is it in New Zealand... :?:
