Idle Speed Solenoid

Hi,

What cars came with a idle speed solenoid from factory? A true 2 wire simple solenoid, not a stepper motor one.

Need one for my 4agte with a link v5.

I tried to use one from my silvertop a/c system (I think), but they doesnt like being pulsed, the reaction time is really slow, and hence it doesnt work.

Any ideas? Once I have a car I can go hit up the wreckers etc, or does anyone have one lying around?

Or who works in a factory that wont miss a air control solenoid?

toyota does not use stepper motor for idle control (well most of them), it is actually controlled by PWM, similar way a solenoid can be controlled, read more here:

what about an auxilary air valve? Do you just need an idle up for cold start?

Ok....Now tell me which toyota's use a PWM solenoid....

I DONT want a stepper motor one... A LEM link uses a PWM, hence the pulsing solidniod I asked for.


And auxilary air valves...hmmm, I have a feeling I already have one of those... im sure thats waht im trying to use at the moment, but it can't handle the pulses.

And yeah, just for idle up, but the link controls its via pulsing, ie, pwm.
