Caldina GT-T Underbonet Pics Wanted

Hey,

If anyone has any photos of their Caldina GT-T under the bonet, preferably modified engine bay etc, or of friends, randoms etc, can you please post them up here.
Really interested to see what people have done under the bonet in terms of mods, and how they fit.
Post good, bad, ugly - it doesnt matter. Purely for interests sake.

Did a google image search for GT-T caldina and came accross something interesting.

Scroll down to the power to weight ratio of the caldina and click on the link -Vehicles with similar ration- Some interesting cars in that bunch :P

Back on topic, there are a few pics of modded GT-T engine bays on google, might pay to start your search there.

yet so many of them are so much faster... what went wrong in the caldina?

BTW, even my little 1.8L NA gets 13.85lb/HP compared to the Caldinas 11.73LB/HP

I'm assuming it's because it is kinda heavy?

I think ive seen just about 95% of Caldina GT-T pages on google.... I think. Are they quite rare or something? Well, not rare, but not HUGELY available like other models?

I may have misinterpreted what you're saying here, but remember it's better to have less weight per HP than more - normally power to weight is shown the other way around ie. 1HP/11.73LB

That means your power to weight ratio is almost 20% worse than the caldina, which would be about right I'd have thought.

Thats what I was thinking aswell - I couldnt quite figure out the value. And changing between cars on that site etc, looking at Legacy B4 etc, it didnt make sence. But since you say it now, it does make sence. (legacy b4 blitzen is 12.5lb/hp, caldina gt-t is 11.7 :))

I realise that my PTW is ~20% worse, but it's a 1.8 NA...
It just seems to me that a 2L Turbo should do better.

Also, when you look at the other cars listed(with similar PTW),
the caldina is slow, hence my assumption that it must be heavy.

Define what you mean by faster. If you're referring to top speed then it may pay to engage brain and consider that the Caldina is speed limited, I'm surprised they got it to 209km/h.

If you're meaning the 1/4 mile time, then again @ 13.7 (for the manual), I don't see too many in that list that are faster.

Well it's no lightweight. but @ 1440kgs it certainly can't be described as heavy for a 4WD wagon, and the approx 18% difference in power to weight ratios is quite a lot. The real world useful torque to weight figure would be much more in the favour of the Caldina.

11.73 isnt bad at all. My stag is 12.12lb/hp
thatll drop hugely once FMIC/SAFC/zorst are on though

Potentially then, that means.....
My motorbike is 220kg approx + 75kg rider..... @ 141HP.... So 650lb/141Hp.... 4.6lb/HP.

ahem, brain now ingaged...
what are the limiters normally set to? It's been 210 in all the newish cars I've had, curren(just made it there), legacy(again just), RunX I havent hit one yet, 224.3(according to police radar on track) in 4th at redline before running out of track(two gears to go).
