Postby streatracer » Wed Jun 07, 2006 12:30 pm

iv just bought a 92 gt apex trueno with adjustables (cusco i beleive) and the left rear is apparently stuffed. are these rebuildable? rough estimate on price for this? who could do it in canterbury/otago region? and what is code for 92s is it ae92 or 101?

is yours super strut by factory? like does it have superstrut stickers on the side of the car. if so, it is most likely to be a TRD adjustable if its blue, or KYB SR. they are rebuildable depending if they are screwtops or not. e.g. You can buy new TRD strut inserts to replace your damage ones. so just confirm what types of adjustables they are, then probably PM revhead. but usually i think around the $800 mark including install. (not 100% sure).

Only TRD, tein, Gab, KYB, arogasta made superstrut adjustables.
Other major brands like cusco, JIC etc only made it for the non supersturt
Cusco ones are also rebuildable, you can order new struct inserts, but you can always fit other inserts like KYB into it...performance wise not too sure. 8)
