Caldina GTT

Postby adam.ant » Sun Jun 11, 2006 1:58 am

Hi,
This may be a newbie question but I am looking at buying a Toyota Caldina GTT 1996 to 1998 and wanted to know if the manual version has TCS and VSC. If not does it still have the same grip due to the LSD to the road as a Tiptronic with TCS and VSC. Are there any other big differences between the Manual and Tiptronic.
Thanks

TCS and VSC are electronically controlled limiting the power which actually arrives to the ground and there fore gaining traction/control where as the LSD delivers the same about of power but distributes it evenly..

Some one might wanna prove me otherwise but thats how i seeit :)

manuals dont have VSC or TCS
they are for pansies ;)
but the grip on the manuals is great, but you can make it let go if you want to

have a search, GT-Ts are covered widely on here

the vsc does more than limit power... try dynoing a tiptronic without disabling the vsc and youll see what I mean
