suspention question

Hey guys just putting in some new shock/struts and springs in my hack wagon.just gota couple of concerns before i go ahead any further.
1.is the top hat meant to be able to move on an agle when u push on it?
2.the tophat nut doesnt feel like its on far enuf.how do u tighten it up futher without the shock spinning or is this a sign its on far enuf..?
just checking as i dont want it to be unsafe when im driving
oh its in a ae92 wagon if that help aswell.

not 100% sure on no.1,

but for no.2,

if it doesn't seem to be on far enough, ask a local mechanic nicely to use his rattle gun on it, that will sort it if you're worried

Hey just sent you pm. The front top hats shouldnt be able to rotate other than spinning around (for the turning).

Do you have the springs the right way in the strut?

Need impact wrench for doing up tophat nut
